Yes, I am a creature of habit. I make the same bowls (to some degree) every day and lately have been making this smoothie on repeat. Really, it’s between this and cauliflower oats for breakfast lately. It is super filling, fresh thanks to the addition of mint, nutrient dense and really, really delicious. It’s complete with fat (avocado), fiber (flax seeds) + greens, protein (vegan, chocolate protein – I use Tone It Up and Garden of Life) and lots of antioxidant-rich superfoods as you’ll see below. This is a very loaded up smoothie, so feel free to modify or remove ingredients to make it work for you!
Recipe was inspired from this original smoothie from my Green Circle wellness plan. Scroll down for my variation below!
- 4 Dates
- 1 Banana
- 2 c. of kale/spinach
- Cinnamon
- Coconut Flakes
- Coconut Water
- 1/2 avocado
- Spirulina
- Barley Grass Juice Powder
- 2 Stalks of Celery
Another variation of this smoothie would be to opt out the mint and use cold brew or espresso as the liquid + a splash of almond milk. I’ve done this before and it was amazing.
Super excited for you to try the #bunundoneeats below!
