As of late, you’ve probably seen me post aura photos of all different colors and a whole lot more mindfulness related quotes. At the end of January, I saw my friend Cindy Luffred, Revealing Soul, for the first time and can honestly say I’ve been experiencing an extreme mental, physical and spiritual shift ever since. Tapping into her gifts allowed me to tap into a whole new side of myself, it helped me regain my strength and step into my power. So, it’s safe to say, meeting her has truly changed the path of my life.
I’ve always been into the “woo” portion of wellness, but there was so much of it I hadn’t explored yet. The first thing Cindy was able to point out to me was that I’m an extremely spiritual and intuitive person (the purples and blues in my aura photo really showcased these qualities). While I knew that to be true, I wasn’t really confident enough to explore that until recently. Now, I can’t stop ;). Before I go off on a tangent, I want to tell you all how I first met Cindy and why I decided to book her services.
In the fall/winter of last year, I started to feel stuck. I felt pulled in different directions in personal relationships as well as my career. I was honestly confused, just looking for any helpful signs to avoid making any rash decisions. Months went by and the only sign I had were my own emotions. I honestly was considering seeing a medium for months before, because I felt like I needed higher being(s) to provide more clarity and guide me in the direction I was looking for, and I had never been to one. Then, one afternoon at The Space Between Yoga (no surprise there :)) I met Cindy – truly divine timing. Daryn (the founder of TSB) introduced me to Cindy and I was in awe. I had never met anyone with her gifts, and never experienced aura photography either. I immediately wanted to open up to Cindy and set up an appointment with her, but was about to leave for a trip, so I decided to wait until the new year when I got back. Flash forward a few weeks, and I ran into her at an event, also at The Space Between. This is when my first aura photo was taken (picture below). It showed that I am spiritual and intuitive, with a life purpose of healing and helping people. The dark pink over my heart showed I was overthinking relationships which was true, and the white halo surrounding me represented angels. In this moment, Cindy told me my grandparents who passed were with me and wanted to help. Chills! That’s when I set up an appointment for a full channeling a few weeks later.
Sparing some of the details as the channeling session was extremely private, personal and intimate, but I couldn’t get over how good I felt after. Despite having Cindy connect with my spirit guides for direction and answers (my Dad’s dad and Mom’s mom came through the strongest and had a lot to say :)), and despite the fact that I cried…. A LOT, I felt so much lighter after my session. It really is a therapy session and then some. While therapy sessions give you advice for the present, Cindy was able to provide insight into the future, reassuring that things would work out. I was validated, I was at peace, and I knew I just had to take steps to make the future we discussed my current reality.
Photo above shows my first photo and second (after our channeling), just a couple weeks apart, but with a ton more healing energy.
I’ve made SO many changes since first meeting Cindy in January – it feels like i’ve done the work of 5 years in 5 months. I went through a break-up, a move, a career shift and more. And while all of these things don’t sound “happy” at first, I feel more like myself than ever before. Having the validation of certain answers and a peek at my future really gave me the confidence and direction I needed to make changes. It made all of these steps seem less daunting, my mindset more positive through it all, and now looking back I recognize how worth it it all was.
My aura photos during this timeframe have shifted so much. I’ve seen Cindy at many local events, and after each session I continue to write “A lot can change in a little” because it’s so true. Sometimes you just need the push in the right direction, and then from there you can put in the work. My photos have lightened up a ton, the healing energy is gone, blue is showcasing how I’m fulfilling my passion, and the pink on the right shows love coming in (in 3-6 months ;)). I am not only grateful for Cindy as Revealing Soul, but also Cindy as Cindy. She has truly become an amazing friend in the process and has helped me in so many ways. I even texted my mom the other day that I am seriously the happiest I’ve ever been. I’m on cloud nine every day to be doing what I love, fulfilling myself and myself only, and knowing that the blank slate for the future is ready for me to complete it.
Most recent photo captured last month.
All of my photos (with the exception of one I don’t have at home) from January through April 2019.
Knowing many of you (whether local or not) are probably interested in this type of service, I used the Q&A feature on my Instagram stories to ask you all what questions you may have. Cindy was gracious and took the time to respond!
Q&A
What do the pictures mean?
Ok, about to get science-y here for a minute. 🙂 Aura photography is the process of using a custom biometric feedback camera to take a picture of your energy (otherwise known as an aura). Everyone is made up of energy and light, and my camera takes a photo of your energy and overlays it on a polaroid image of you. Your energy can change from week to week and month to month depending on what’s going on in your life. Based on the colors I do an intuitive reading on what they all mean.
What do the colors mean?
First off, there are no bad colors. Colors all have positive and negative traits like horoscope signs. Depending on the shade or the tone of the color, that helps indicate if it’s leaning more towards the positive side of the color or the negative. There are over 55 colors that can show up in aura photos, and certain colors together can mean different things. In general, the colors show how you are presenting yourself to the world, things you are going through and working on, and they can indicate things coming in for you in the next 3-6 months.
What does it mean when the colors change? How often do they change?
Your energy may not be the first thing people notice about you, but it is the thing that people will remember. Energy is impacted by many things… emotions, stress, relationships, events, work, and lots of other things that are going on in your life. You really have all colors of the light spectrum within you, but the camera captures the ones you are using or presenting to the world at any given time. They can change from week to week and month to month, it really just depends on what’s going on in your life. I’ve seen auras change within 3 weeks and also some that change over 6-12 months. When they are murky or darker in color, it usually indicates some stress or anxiety going on, and when they start to lighten and brighten up it shows that you are starting to move into your purpose and release stress. They also change as you focus on different things in your life. For example, if you’re more focused on work, I would expect to see more blues and greens. If you’re more focused on relationships, I would expect to see more pinks.
Does it mean something if the color is closer or farther out from your body?
Yes and no. This can vary based on the aura photographer. Sometimes it depends on where the camera is focused on your body. I always aim the camera towards your forehead, but another aura photographer may aim it towards your face or lower down. If the color is filling up the whole polaroid it shows you have good energy. If the color is closer to the body or lower it can indicate anxiety or exhaustion.
What does it mean if you can see yourself (i.e. your face or body) in the photo? Why can you see yourself sometimes and sometimes not?
Again, this varies depending on the aura photographer. If the lighting is very bright, or if light is shining directly on you then you will be able to see more of the person as opposed to the aura colors. Since I don’t typically use a bright light, if I can see part or all of the person in the photo it usually means they are being drained by something energetically. And depending on what part of the person I can see that tells me what (or who) is draining them. 🙂
What to expect from a reading…do you receive suggestions for how to improve on certain problem areas?
Great question! You can expect to receive insight and guidance into your life and the things and experiences you are going through. We also talk about areas of your life that may need more focus or attention, and areas for improvement. And if there’s anything that you’re wanting to attract into your life, we discuss ways to achieve this.
How to find a legit aura photographer if you’re not in Chicago. (not sure if you want to list the places or not, but you can maybe list the
There are only a handful of people who have this type of camera in the US. Do your research ahead of time…Google is the best way to find an aura photographer. Note that not everyone provides as thorough of a reading as I do. I’m a medium, so for me that’s the most important part, but some aura photographers are more about the portrait or picture rather than the reading.
A few of the aura photographers I know of are listed below:
Magic Jewelry in Chinatown, NYC
Radiant Human in California – travels frequently
Center for New Age (Jamie Rota) in Sedona, AZ
