Even though the holidays are over, ’tis the season for big mugs filled with warm, sweet drinks. My hot chocolate cravings have been through the roof, so I knew I had to alter the Swiss Miss tradition I loved as a child, into a healthier alternative.
I’ve been loving using my Vitamix for drinks since it has a heat section. Another alternative is to mix this on the stove, or simply in your microwave. From there, I love using this handheld frother to get it extra foamy on top.
I also love adding CBD or swapping maca for other adaptogens based on my mood. I even had a follower suggest adding peppermint extract for a healthy, caffeine-free take on a peppermint mocha. It can be customized and modified so easily and is seriously so good! Cheers!

- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or nut milk of choice
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 1 tsp manuka honey or pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp maca powder
- 1 scoop collagen
- sprinkle cinnamon
